Everest is modeled after Summit Preparatory Charter High School in Redwood City. Everest was started to help meet Summit's overwhelming demand due to its outstanding results as a public, charter high school. We believe our successes are due to the collaboration of our talented and committed faculty, students, parents, and supporters working toward continuous educational innovation and excellence.

Everest opened its doors in 2009 with 100 freshman students. We now have approximately 100 freshman and 100 sophomores and will continue to grow by one grade level of 100 students until we reach our capacity of 400 students in four grades in 2013.
